Hello all,
Feels really wierd to refer to myself as "post-op". It is all so surreal (at least until the pain hits!) I actually have been doing pretty good today. So much that I decided I was going to ride with Catherine to the grocery store but that didn't feel so good. I forgot my belly pillow and every time she hit the gas, break, bump, etc I felt it real good. I think I am going to wait about another week before I try that again.
I have been stirring around more today and did not take a mid-day nap for the first time. I also actually ate 5 tiny meals (on my way to 6+) today and I think that also has helped with my strength.
I told Catherine once I get to where I can actually chew food, we will go to one of the tapas resaurants in town because while those portions are tiny for most, they will be just right for me.
Thanks again for all the comments and keep em coming, it really does help.

Take it easy, one step at a time. You will be good to go in no time, and then, you'll have to come back to work. LOL!!!
See ya soon!
Glad you are feeling well enough to THINK going for a car ride is a good idea, at least for a little while.
How about describing what one of your "tiny" meals is like? I'm thinking "chicklet" size, is that about right?
Hang in there buddy!

For some reason I just had the scene from the Blues Brothers where they're sitting in the swanky restaurant and John Belushi is tossing shrimp into Dan Ankroyd's mouth... Don't ask me why... it was random.
Best of luck with the upcoming weekend!
If you can laugh without killing yourself... rent the Blues Brothers... it's always a winner.
Heh, that's funny. In the old days, my "checklist for the perfect woman" had a line that read "Must recognize that The Blues Brothers is the best film ever made". Eventually that requirement came off the list when I realized it could keep me celibate for a very long time...
yah I love the blues brothers...it is definitely a classic.
I will make a post of the typical meal for me.
