Pre-Admission Testing Day!!!!!

Today was pre-admission testing. We were at the hospital for over 3 hours. I had 5 vials of blood work drawn, an ultrasound of my spleen, kidneys, liver, and gall bladder, and I also had a chest x-ray. Catherine and I met with the nutritionist, the nurse, the breathing dude, and then the medical internist (she is a doctor, just not the surgeon doing the operation). By the time we got to the internist they had all the test results and gave me the final clearance for surgery. I was given a breathing appparatus to start breathing exercises at home now to help me prep for surgery and after. I have to do them 20 x’s a day (will just have to TIVO american idol I guess) . They gave me a surgical scrubber sponge to use on the morning of surgery. Speaking of which, they are telling us the doctor requested that I be his number one surgery on Monday so that means we have to be to the hospital at 6:00 AM. YIKES!!!!!!!
